In 2012, the Defence Forces began its multiyear, multiphase project to address knowledge management within the organization. A major part of this project was the implementation of an online system which would connect users across the organization with ease and enable tacit and explicit knowledgesharing through the use of portals, wikis, enterprise social, and an organization-wide cultural change project.
